Associations have the task of ensuring that their members' interests are considered in the political decision process. They carry responsibility for their members and are involved in political decision-making.

The German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) is one of the largest German industry associations. It represents economic, technological and environmental interests of the German electronics sector on a national, European and international level.

Friedhelm Loh, owner and CEO of Friedhelm Loh Group, is honorary president of the ZVEI.
